First: the facility
The undergraduate study officially began at the beginning of the academic year 1992-1993 as a branch of the Faculty of Medicine, Sohag University.
The college separated from Sohag University and became affiliated to South Valley University beginning in 1995. Then it transferred its affiliation to Sohag University on the first of August 2006 with the university’s separation

First: the facility
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Sohag University was established by Republican Decree No. 324 of 2007, and studies began officially in 2008 with the approval of the Supreme Council of Universities in its session No. 491 held on Sunday, corresponding to 7/9/2008 AD. In the new university headquarters in Al-Kawamel city, the building consists of an administrative unit or department, and the other is for laboratories and scientific departments. The college has a scientific hospital in the village of Al-Salaa to serve the people of the governorate, as well as train students and graduates.
